ABOUT: WILDLIFE RESCUE OF EAST HAMPTON, Inc.
The team at Wildlife Rescue of East Hampton is an accumulation of wildlife & wildlife rescue experts from organizations across the east end of Long Island. Many of these folks volunteer for other rescue or rehabilitation operations year round, just like WROEH founder Dell Cullum, who thought it would be beneficial to both the wildlife and the rescuers, as well as the community, to organize the rescue responders in a way that doesn't overwhelm only a small group of responders.
When the same folks respond to emergency calls day after day it can become both mentally and physically exhausting. This can easily render a rescue responder unfocused, which can result in injury to either the animal or the responder, or both during a rescue. WROEH assigns their dedicated rescue responders to daily or weekly shifts depending on the season. This enables an active responder to be ON-CALL at all times during the shift to respond to emergency calls, pick ups, or transport injured animals from one medical facility to another.
The team at WROEH will also keep their eyes out for issues around the community that impacts the wildlife, or their habitat in a bad way. They will engage in preventative measures to keep the wildlife safe and less vulnerable to man-made dangers, and natural issues that could prove fatal if left alone or ignored.
Wildlife Rescue of East Hampton also offers EVERYONE a fantastic call center, where the general public can interact in a variety of ways by listening to our phone menu of services at 844-728-9453 or 844-SAV-WILD. Whether it's identifying a critter, asking a wildlife question, inquiring about advice on a nuisance wildlife issue or even a recommendation to the top person in a particular wildlife related field. Our Wildlife Call Center has it all, and SO MUCH MORE!!! Give us a call, toll free at
